Wisdom Tooth Removal in Noida

Assessment and removal of impacted or problematic wisdom teeth by an oral surgeon.

Wisdom teeth often lack room to come through properly. When they are impacted they can cause pain, repeated gum infections, decay in the tooth in front, or cyst formation.

Not every wisdom tooth needs removing. When it does, our oral and maxillofacial surgeon handles straightforward and surgical extractions, including impacted lower wisdom teeth.

Symptoms & concerns

  • Pain or pressure at the back of the jaw
  • Swollen, red or bleeding gum over a partly erupted wisdom tooth
  • Repeated gum infections (pericoronitis) in the same area
  • Bad taste or difficulty opening the mouth fully
  • Food trapping and decay affecting the tooth in front
  • A wisdom tooth showing on an X-ray as lying sideways or trapped

Who it's for

  • People with recurrent infection or pain around a wisdom tooth
  • Patients whose wisdom tooth is decaying or damaging the neighbouring tooth
  • Those advised to remove a wisdom tooth before orthodontic or other treatment
  • Anyone with a cyst or pathology associated with an unerupted wisdom tooth

The treatment process

1

Surgical assessment

Clinical examination and an X-ray (OPG or CBCT) to see the tooth position and its relationship to the nerve and sinus.

2

Planning

The surgeon explains whether it is a simple or surgical extraction, the anaesthesia options and the expected recovery.

3

Extraction

Done under local anaesthesia (with sedation if preferred). Surgical cases involve a small gum incision and sometimes sectioning the tooth.

4

Recovery

Detailed aftercare, pain relief and, where used, a review to remove stitches after about a week.

Benefits

  • Ends recurrent infection and pain
  • Protects the healthy tooth in front from decay and bone loss
  • Removes the risk of cyst formation around a trapped tooth
  • Surgical expertise for cases close to the nerve or sinus

Frequently asked questions

Most swelling and discomfort settle within 3–7 days. Simple extractions recover faster; surgical removal of a deeply impacted tooth takes a little longer.
